Alok is a seasoned sustainability leader, having completed his PGDM from IIM Bangalore and undergraduate degree in B.Arch from IIT Kharagpur. At Fortis Healthcare, Alok is heading the ESG initiatives, and is captaining the ESG champions’ team - a cross-functional squad of passionate sustainability professionals nominated by the facility directors at each of the Fortis hospital units as ESG SPOCs. He designed, implemented, and monitored ISO 13485 & Regulatory Requirements based Integrated QMS. He has worked in multicultural teams in multinationals as well as localized teams in national companies which enabled him to translate requirements into long-lasting compliances.

He is credited with first WHO-PQ of Malaria Rapid Test Product in India. He has given consultancy services to over 2 dozen companies in a short time for designing GMP facilities, QMS (ISO 13485, Schedule V, MDR-745 and IVDR-746, MDSAP and 510(k). He has trained medical device stake holders from CDSCO, industry and several Govt institutions.

He spearheaded the digitalization of the End Stage Renal Disease program in SEHA and the digitalization of the Complete Acute Kidney Injury Management pipeline at SSMC and helped set up the Paired Kidney Exchange program in UAE. This work has been recognized and awarded by HIMSS, the Arab Hospitals Federation, and the Patient Safety Conference. He also was awarded the best nephrologist in the UAE by Health Magazine in 2023.

He is collaborating with colleagues from Khalifa University and Mohamed Bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence to develop an AI Platform, “RenAIssance” to help improve Acute Kidney Injury outcomes. Their team won the grand prize in a hackathon organized by Ericsson & UAE Ministry of Economy and their team was a semifinalist in the 3C-AI4H Bowl-Institute for Augmented Intelligence in Medicine (I.AIM), at Northwestern University, USA. In addition, he has received a Research grant from the Department of Health, Abu Dhabi .
